bauma China: Hub for Imports and Exports
|
Munich, Germany: The Chinese market for construction and building material machines continues to grow without a stop. In the first quarter of this year alone, imports from foreign countries to China of excavators (+124%), loaders (+170%) and bulldozers (+57%) more than doubled compared to the same period of the previous year according to statistics of the Chinese construction machine association CCMA. bauma China provides an excellent opportunity to obtain information about sales possibilities on site and get a personal impression of the market. It has developed into the largest trade fair for construction and building material machines as well as construction vehicles in Asia within a period of only six years. More than 900 international and Chinese companies will present their latest products and services at the Shanghai New International Expo Center from November 21 to 24, 2006.
Industry experts are certainly already excited now about the latest developments and trends, which will be shown there. Chinese manufacturers are catching up to the know-how and development lead of Western countries with enormous capital and staff expenditures. The export figures prove that they are having a lot of success in this. According to CCMA statistics, the export of excavators alone increased by 124 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The figures are similarly high for many other construction and building material machines. Although the main sales markets are in neighboring countries and include only a few industrialized countries, construction equipment “Made in China” can already be found at construction sites in many countries of Europe today, even though in very small numbers, and many other regions of the Western world. Most large manufacturing companies already have plans for further expansion ready to implement.
